Fort Collins Solar Purchase Program Update
The 2017/2018 SP3 project awards currently total 800 kW-DC at weighted average price ~12.7¢/kWh. As of April 19, funding remains available for PPAs for approximately 1 megawatt of additional capacity. Applications will be accepted on a first come first served basis until all funds are committed. The solar PV industry is at a high degree of capacity utilization in 2017 driven by strong demand in China for PV deployment. Globally from 86 GWp to 92 GWp is on track to be installed in 2017.
